The Philosophy of the House Deck
Origin
The House Deck was created from the understanding that every human being carries an inner house — a psychic architecture of rooms, inhabitants, symbols, and energies that shape how we experience belonging, safety, and identity. The house is not just where we live. It is how we live.
Structure
75 cards across 4 domains: Rooms, People, Symbols, and Energies. Rooms are the spaces — physical and psychic — where life unfolds. People are the archetypes who inhabit and shape domestic experience. Symbols are the objects and motifs that carry household meaning. Energies are the atmospheres and forces that flow through every home.
How to Read
The House Deck reads the architecture of your inner life. When you draw a Room card, you are entering a psychic space. When a Person appears, you are meeting an aspect of yourself or someone in your domestic world. Symbols reveal what objects and motifs are carrying meaning. Energies show the invisible forces — warmth, silence, chaos, belonging — that determine whether a house feels like a home.
The Domestic Psyche
Home is the first territory of the soul. Before we know the world, we know the house. Its rooms become the chambers of our psychology. Its people become the voices in our heads. Its symbols become our unconscious language. The House Deck makes this interior architecture visible — so that you can walk through your own psyche with open eyes, room by room, and decide what to keep, what to renovate, and what to finally let go.
